Lahore, July 2017: CCL last week organized a range of engaging awareness raising activities in various cities of Pakistan to mark World Hepatitis Day.
The day began with a consumer awareness campaign in collaboration with Daily Express in 11 cities of the country. The campaign featured the awareness messages of leading gastroenterologists in each city. It aimed to create mass awareness on the hazards of the disease and ways to treat it. It was followed by a symbolic walk of the CCL employees and continued with the Hepatitis B & C screening camp for employees. This year’s theme for Hepatitis Day was Eliminate Hepatitis.
As part of the campaign, CCL Pharmaceuticals put up posters in doctors’ chambers and distributed awareness raising literature in collaboration with the Pakistan Society of Hepatology apart from organizing patients walk at the Dow University of Health Sciences Karachi, Sadu Medical College in Swat and District Headquarter Hospital in Gilgit. In addition to this Hepatitis B & C screening camps were held in the Shalimar Hospital in Lahore and at the CCL Head Office. Meanwhile awareness seminars were organized for patients at the Shalimar Hospital in Lahore and the Liver Center in Faisalabad.
